Case Manager

Description

Provide home-based casework services to individuals and families involved with the Department of Child Services/Probation from Region 1 (Lake County) and 2 (Porter, LaPorte, Newton, Jasper, Starke, Pulaski and Benton). These in-home services should help reduce maltreatment, improving care-taking and coping skills, enhancing family resilience, and supporting healthy and nurturing relationships, and children’s physical, mental, emotional and educational well-being. Home-Based Casework Services should help safely maintain children in their homes (foster homes); prevent children’s initial placement, or reenter into foster care, preserve, support and stabilize families and promote the well being of children, youth, and families.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor Degree in social work, psychology, sociology or a directly -related human service field from an accredited college.
  • Other Bachelor Degree with combination of a minimum of 5 years experience working directly with families in the child welfare system.
