Jessica completed her education through the Clinical Mental Health Program at Purdue Calumet in 2014. Following graduation Jessica began working with children and adolescents in an intensive inpatient setting during internship experience in 2013 and transitioned to the therapeutic role after graduation. The primary focus of the therapeutic program being utilized was trauma focused therapy to address emotional and behavioral presenting problems through individual, group and family therapy settings. Since 2015 Jessica has worked in outpatient and home-based therapy settings focusing primarily on children, adolescents, teens and young adults. Her primary focus and training has surrounded therapeutic services with children and families involved with Department of Child Services and Probation. Jessica utilizes approaches and techniques including, but not limited to Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness and Relaxation Practices and Play Therapy . In the home-based environment, Jessica works with different providers on a treatment team to assist in developing a well-rounded therapeutic approach that assists the client in learning, exploring and implementing skills and techniques appropriately and effectively to reach their goals.
