Kimberly Mayes is a Licensed Social Worker with ten years of experience in the Department of Child Services field, specializing in family therapy, child welfare, and case management. She has been dedicated to supporting families and children involved with the Department of Child Services (DCS) with a compassionate and client-centered approach, she has worked diligently to create a safe and nurturing environment for children and their families. As a licensed social worker, Kimberly has been able to employ evidence-based therapeutic techniques to address issues such as trauma, attachment, and behavioral challenges, ensuring that each family can build a strong foundation for lasting change. Kimberly holds a master’s degree in social work from the University of Denver. She is licensed in the state of Indiana and Illinois as a licensed social worker utilizing evidence-based techniques such as CBT, TF-CBT, CPT Play therapy and Art therapy. Kimberly believes in the power of collaboration, engaging with families, schools, and community resources to facilitate holistic healing and empowerment. In addition to my clinical work, Kimberly has been passionate about advocacy and education within the DCS system. She actively participates in community workshops and training sessions to promote awareness of mental health issues and the importance of family cohesion.
