Miranda is a Mental Health Counseling intern from Purdue Northwest, where she is pursuing a degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling with the goal of becoming a licensed therapist. Utilizing both Person-Centered and Cognitive-Behavioral approaches, she strives to create a space where clients feel heard and understood, working together to enhance their mental well-being through dialogue and intention-setting. Miranda has extensive knowledge of obsessive-compulsive disorders, anxiety, and feeding and eating disorders. She has conducted research, given presentations, and provided professional education specifically on feeding and eating disorders. With a strong emphasis on multicultural backgrounds, family systems, and psychoeducation, Miranda’s objective is to explore client issues from their perspective and, in collaboration with the client, identify the tools needed to address and manage both past, present, and future challenges.
